Share (Savings) Account- Since members own the credit union, savings are called "shares." Your savings account is therefore called a share account. Instead of interest, you earn dividends on your shares (savings), which come from the credit union’s income after meeting expenses and legal reserve requirements. The dividend paid by the credit union is determined by the Board of Directors and is generally higher than the passbook rate of other financial institutions.

Share Draft (Checking) Account- Checking accounts with no monthly service charges, no per-check fees, and no minimum balance are available. Monthly statements of your checking account activity will be provided. You have an option to choose Overdraft Protection. If funds are not available in your checking account an overdraft can automatically be transferred from your savings account. Upon approval an overdraft loan is also available. Debit Cards- Kilowatt Credit Union offers debit cards. Please contact the credit union for application and details.

Phone Automated Teller- PAT is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Please contact the credit union to activate PAT for your account.

Loans- Kilowatt Credit Union offers a variety of economical loan programs. Loans for new or used automobiles, boats, motorcycles, lawn tractors, computers, bill consolidation, student loans, even Christmas expenses, are available to qualified members. Stop by or call the credit union for a loan application and return to the credit union to start the loan process.

Certificates of Deposit- Kilowatt Credit Union offers Certificates of Deposit at very competitive rates. Call the credit union for current rates.

ATM Cards- You may use your ATM 24 hours a day/7 days a week. We own two ATM machines. One is located at 3714 West Truman Blvd. inside the Conoco station. Our second ATM is located at the Callaway Plant in Fulton, MO. Click here to access our ATM fee schedule for fees associated with ATM use.

Christmas Club-Many of our members take advantage of our Christmas Club to save for the holiday season. The money in your Christmas Club account will become available for holiday shopping on October 1^st.

Wire Transfers-You may wire transfer money by using the following information. There is a $15.00 - $50.00 fee.

Direct Deposit/Payroll-It’s not always convenient to make a loan payment or add to your savings. That is why Kilowatt Credit Union offers time-saving payroll deduction and direct deposit. With payroll deduction or direct deposit, your loan payment, checking or savings deposit is made automatically and there is no waiting in line. You may change your payroll deduction anytime by simply contacting the credit union. You can even channel a portion of your deposit into another person’s account. It’s a great way to start your children a savings account.

Night Deposit/Notary-If you need to drop off your deposit after hours we have a convenient night deposit box. For those documents needing a notary to sign we offer a notary service to our members. Bring in those important documents to have notarized.

Travelers’ Checks-We offer free Travelers’ Checks to anyone who has a checking account with Kilowatt Credit Union. They are a safe way to carry money while on vacation and eliminate the need to carry a lot of cash. They are accepted around the world and can be easily replaced if lost or stolen.

Discount Movie/Theme Park Tickets-We offer discount prices on movies and theme parks such as Silver Dollar City, White Water, Celebration City, Six Flags and Big Surf. (Theme park tickets are seasonal. Call for availability.) Movie tickets may be purchased at the credit union for $7.00 per ticket.
